Royal Anthropological Institute of Great Britain & Ireland (RAI) 16th Film Festival was held at the Center for Visual Anthropology at the University of Southern California on March 5-7, 2020.
CEO/Director Elizabeth Kahn was invited to speak on a panel called “Tensions in Digital Heritage Inside and Outside Indigenous Collaborations” with colleagues Eric Hanson/BluePlanetVR and from institutions like USC, Autry Museum, UCLA, Cogstone Archaeology, CSU Long Beach, Archaeoikon, University of Central Lancashire, and CSU Long Beach.
The forum supported discussions of important ongoing museum and archaeological collaborative projects. Efforts to create evocative encounters with places and experiences that may be valued differently prompt critical anthropological discussions about the nature of heritage values, production, and experience in expanding modes of practice.
