RBMVE Biographical Note: John W. Bennett was an archaeology crew member on the 1937 RBMVE. Aside from being a serious aspiring archaeologist and going on to have a notable career as an Anthropologist, Bennett was also an artist. He took a camera and watercolors into the field with him.
Scope and Content: Bennett’s descendants have generously shared digital reproductions of watercolor paintings that he did both in the field, as well as once he returned home, using photographs that he took as references. These photographs are located in collections at the Ohio State University and Fowler Museum at UCLA, along with other material related to John W. Bennett.

Container List or Summary of RBMVE-related Material: 25-30 watercolor paintings
