In September 2016, we were given the opportunity to present a collection of historic photographs at the Navajo Nation Fair. Hundreds of people from all corners of the Navajo Nation enjoyed our 1930’s images picturing Navajo people, most unidentified. Many spent time talking with us, generously offering information about family members they recognized, or telling us stories that brought alive historic context and names of individuals and families in the pictures.
We captured details that help provide a more complete narrative about the environment surrounding the Expedition.
